    Morel Mushroom Hunting

Little late to the party but after checking out the club site, the words used, "may be" and "probably" don't make me feel real confident about mushroom hunting. They do look tasty though...maybe.

    Local Civil War Fighters

Really great that you have such detailed history going back so far. I did find my G-G-grandfather's name on the Pennsylvania monument at Gettysburg. I also recieved his pay records from the National Archives. Seems he was docked a month's pay after a court martial. the sad thing is, I found...

    Local Civil War Fighters

Marye's Heights was a popular place to get killed. Seems we both had relatives fighting there. My Gr. Gr. Grandfather fought at Marye's Heights. Co. H, 98th Pa Volunteers, Sickles Sixth Corp. Did a three year stint, practically right off the boat from Germany. Arrived 1860 in Germantown...

    Local Civil War Fighters

I believe the television series depicted both the Hatfields and McCoys as being Confederate. I may be wrong, especially when my source is TV.

    Rattlesnake And A Stones

Beautiful snake. Glad it was you who ran across it and not one of those 'every snake could be a rattler, so we killed it' people.

    PIC-A-LILLI Review

Up from Florida for a visit and got the pleasure of the Pic visit last night. Crab soup and then a large combo bowl of spicy scallops and ears. Amazing...as always! I have to get in one more visit before heading back.

    Brewster Stones

Sorry, haven't been on in awhile. I believe the Carter monument I found was somewhere in Camden County. Maybe Haddon Twp. or that vicinity.

    Brewster Stones

When I was surveying, I remember coming across a "C" marble monument. My boss told me Carter, who I suppose was a surveyor, set them. Just a guess.

I believe "C" stands for Carter. Gotta love a pin set next to a monument.

Plan to put gas pipeline in Pinelands spurs ire

Today was the first day that I got to read up on this pipeline and I have to say, I can see both sides but I'm definitely in favor of not touching the pines. I wonder what would have happened after the bribe was spent and then a section of the pipe ruptured under a pond or stream. Chapter 11...

    Wagon Wheel?

It's been a little while since I've been on the site and I'm curious, what ever happened with the wagon wheel (I think that's what it was) that someone found and was debating if they should dig it up or leave it alone?

Drove drunk to NJ police station

I got pulled over for DUI in my dopey youth and was so very nervous that I failed the field tests. Cop took me back to the station for the breathalyzer (blew a .05) and he let my buddy drive my truck back to the police station. Did he think I had a designated passenger? Yes, very dumb of me...

    10 years

I just saw the announcement of 10 years of this magnificent site while on Facebook this morning and want to say congratulations. Ben, like you said, no matter how slick and fancy a site is, it's nothing without the members but this would be nothing without all the hard work you and Tee Gate do...
