ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

"...ate the effectiveness of the M.A.P. to ensure that it meets the goals we all share of promoting access to the Forest and preserving and protecting the Forest’s environment..." I don't like his word selection. I'm certain everyone that has signed the petition, written letters, called, etc...

Was thinking about having some magnets made up. Anyone care to offer an opinion on which one? Other suggestions?

    Jessica's boots

They sell wetsuit repair kits that should fix it. Try a surf or dive shop, bet Amazon would have also.

Just a comment on the petition, and really the overall message that needs to be discussed - The PPA has been very effective at defining the conversation and driving the narrative, which will always come back in their favor. I think the second to last paragraph of the petition really plays into...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

I've written, my wife has written & I've been asking everyone I've talked to to write letters too. Dont think that is enough though, but still trying to figure out what to can be done next. Feel like a counter message that says responsible use of the forest (ie conservation) is a good thing...

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/320815561.html Nice job! It's going to be an uphill battle for us as they have a very polished message & they present it in a way with which it is hard to disagree. I think you made a valid counter to the PPA's message even if they did edit some out.

The sugar sand was purposely left there. They are going to have volunteers with cameras stationed by the sugar sand to snap pictures of everyone that gets stuck to document the "illegal ORV damage".

Perhaps that was the case 25 years ago when they started, but I strongly disagree the PPA is an ally. In fact, I would consider them a bigger threat then Walmart. The PPA and their radical view of a preserved Pinelands doesn't include me, or anyone really, unless you want pay the PPA to escort...

I agree we are in the crosshairs, just surprised at the number of people that don't realize it. Also, I don't know there had to be a specific event that triggered this. It may have been nothing more than Auermueller finally convincing his superiors or the PPA beating their drums long enough to...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

This whole thing is really bothering me. In reading some of the posts here, newjerseyhunter, and a few other sites, there seems to be a lot of finger pointing, blame, etc ("it's the Jeeps", "it's the ATVs", or the general "it's the offroaders") and "it doesn't really impact me" attitude. We...

Want to thank the powers that be here for getting the word on this out. I will be sending my state reps a note this evening & I have already forward a link to this thread to several others. Joe- how do we join you?
