On the Jones or Hanover Tract map, the lake appears to be of quite a substantial size. This is around 1846.

I bought a copy of it at the Pemberton Museum, too. It is a nice book. The people at the Pemberton Historic Trust are a great bunch of people as well. They have been very helpful to me with my research. I had given them a full scale copy of the Jones Tract map that I have. If anyone stops...
