    Envrionmental Forum Stockton College

I'd love to attend but I'll be somewhere between Batsto and Rt 679. Where else can you get breakfast andlunch for $7. I'd also love to hear Ralph Nader speak even though, when I think about it, he actually helped part of the problem get elected. I still like the guy though. Hope you have a...

I originally was only planning to check out the pond on the Batona between Rts 563 &...

    Makepeace Lake

I do that with every old structure that I come across. I was hoping it might even have a story from WW1 but that's okay, it's still just another jewel in the pines. PLP, have you ever paddled it?

    Makepeace Lake

Today, I got a hankering to see water in the pines so, I headed for Weymouth and after that, I stopped by Makepeace Lake. I got out and walked over to the bridge and saw 1942 as the date of construction. Of course, my mind kicked in and since I have no idea how this lake came into being, I...

    Shoes

Can you tell me, what's the rest of the Batona like heading south from Batsto? Am I going to have soggy socks? I'd rather have soggy socks than not see any water at all.

    Shoes

I did a test walk today in my sneakers around the "White Trail" at Batsto and it was surprisingly pain free. Now, the Phillies game was a different story but for now, as long as I'm on an established trail in the pines, I think I'll stick with the sneakers.

    Fire Breaks

I don't like walking in them myself. I discovered this today walking the white trail at Batsto. I don't like being so low to the ground or the fact that it was such loose sand. I did like seeing that firebreaks actually work when I got near the end of the loop. There's a great area right...
