We work a nine day work schedule which gives me every other Friday off. I have the Batsto to myself, it's great!

My brothers and I spent many pleasant days pickerel fishing on Chatsworth Lake, I hope it's open to fishing when they get parking areas.

I haven't been out this year, till 2 weeks ago my canoe was frozen to the fence. I have next Friday off and am hoping to hit Batsto or Harrisville. Let us know how you make out.

I'm amazed at the young couples with no children yet who buy a house the same as the one we raised our family in as a "starter home".

I have my favorite areas (Winslow WMA, Batona Trail around Batsto, Martha Furnace) that I try to keep reasonably clean. I think many of us do the same to the areas we frequent. If a group clean up is planned, I would try to make it.

I also went out Sunday. At one point my arms rubbing on my sides as I walked sounded loud, it was so still and quiet. Great day!

I worked on and off one summer at the power plant on the lake (Nine Mile Point). The guys who stayed for the winter said the lake effect snow was incredible. Never had the pleasure myself. The ocean usually keeps us milder in Jersey, but not quite as warm as it's been this year.

The same here. Spent Sunday afternoon until after dark exploring in Winslow WMA. Warm and cloudy with a little sprinkle of rain, what a nice day.

Classic candy Unfortunately, no Lunch Bars. We thought they were the best chocolate, we'd put them in the freezer and eat them frozen.

Lucky you! Was it cleaned out? My cousin works there and the first time he went up there it was pretty full of bird and bat droppings. He said it was pretty disgusting. Glad to see Batsto getting some state money. I hope it is wisely spent.

Over the years I have worked with many people who emmigrated from the USSR. One of the things about Americans that they find odd is how easily we will give up rights in order to supposedly feel safer. Just food for thought.

I should probably wait till he weighs more than the fish though.:)
