Christianed my new canoe on this one about a year and a half ago. Nice run, but there was one really bad blow down between Gill Rd and Coates Rd that was a pain to get over/around. Don't know if they've managed to clean it up since then. Saw more wildlife than I would have expected...

There's a big, fancy one on the other side of the road. There used to be a small gun range in the refuge proper. I did some digging on the internet, it looks like it is closed down now (might be why I couldn't find it). It threw me off.

Was out near Winslow today, so I decided it was a fine warm day to take a walk to the Blue Hole. I haven't been there in ten years... ... and for the life of me, I couldn't find it. I remember it being really simple - turn off Piney Hollow Road, park at lot for gun range, follow trail...
