    Chatsworth North....A PBX Hike

Thanks for those shots Bob. I've spent a good amount of time behind the lake looking for a certain slithering animal. I've really been trying to locate a good intact cedar swamp, but it seems much of that sort of thing isn't there, due to heavy agr. use. I did find a small intact cedar swamp...

New Jersey State Program Helps OHV’ers Gain Access to Land

Ok that is fair. I've had dealings with Fred and all were positive. He went/and is going out of his way to protect some vernal pools that continually get monster trucks driven through them. I understand the plights of both the ORV and conservation community. But I've seen so much destruction...

    Chatsworth North....A PBX Hike

Recognize alot of those spots, especially the fallen garage by the blueberry fields. That area was very dry in the summer good to see it filling back up. Did any of you happen to find any large in tact at. white cedar swamps? Preferable, behind the lake(north).

    Bobcat tracks

Grendel, I bet you these things could sniff out a trail cam. If there is cougar here passing through, then that area around 206 would be the spot....gets pretty wild by rockwood road.....and lots of those savanahs.

    Exploring In The Burn Zone

    I Wuz Here

The turtle is a male, Guy is right. The other way to tell is males have a curve in their plasteron, and a lip of sorts on the back of their shell. Males normally have very colorful heads too, while females normally are more bland. Males also will normally be found more often late in the...

    Exploring the Hot Spots

Guy, I was there too today. I was suprised, I expected it to be worse. It was interesting to see how resilent this environment is to fire. I did bump into of forestry guy who was totally dumbfounded as to why I was out there....I explained didn't do much good.

Forest fire SW of Atsion Lake

If anyone goes out exploring on foot in the burned area could you take note of any dead critters. I'm doing a bit of personal data collecting on how forest fire effects certain animals. My main interest is in any turtle, snakes, frogs that are seen dead. If you see something live and want to...

Forest fire SW of Atsion Lake

My understanding is it is just east of parkdale, south/southwest of atsion lake, just west of 206. If I'm right it forms a triangle with 206, parkdale road, and chew road. This is just what I figured based on news reports.
