Guy, never knew that was called long causeway. Glad they dug up those bogs there, they literally had nothing in them, no water turtles, nothing. The centers were like concrete.

Real interesting articles. I find it interesting that most of the white cedar swamps were in cape may county. I spend alot of time down there and quite honestly don't know of any real large intact cedar swamps....would have loved to seen it back then.

Those look like snake drift fences to me........probably surveying for snakes. Lots of critters are going to die as a result of this...ashame. My question is I know t/e species live there I've seen them. Now if one of these species is on the property they should receive protection according...

Pinepaddler, were they drift fence type traps? FPP, in the past has had insect drift fences out there. One time when I went there was only dead fowlers toads in them.
