Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

I also quit a job I had for 4+ years, with a large local engineering company that strickly focused on the development of new large scale housing projects, mainly because the medthod they used to design was clear cut, strip, build and regrade... It was against what I felt was right and push the...

File Conversion .gdb to .dxf or .dwg?

You can convert a DXF file to DWG format by opening the file and saving it in DWG format. You can then work with the resulting drawing file as you would with any other drawing file. But I'm abit late on this I see... are you using the MrSids photos??? you should look into attaching them...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

This all sounds fair, but being new to this sort of debate, I have some questions and comments and critiques to make... all civil and nothing personal... and also the subject of this thread was about users learning to accept each other, work together and to educate from within.. 1. I...

Article about NJ parks closing due to budget cuts

I just found out that nothing is final yet, there is a meeting today at 2 p.m. within the DEP to address this issue, remember this is a newpaper article, not a press release from the State or DEP, so nothing is concrete yet, but looks to be heading in this direction. Also the 6/1/08 date is...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

It seems Russ is doing HIS best to get the message out that the perception is worst then the reality. If his colleges heed his advice, the perception should start to turn. I commend Russ for stepping forward and giving that advice to his fellow members, I bet it could have looked...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

I think you just reworded the opening statement of mine in this thread in a much shorter, more to the point and not so politically correct manner... :guinness: I think the problem with the DEP is the director is appointed by the Govener and as we know our goveners don't seem to last more...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

again I am talking about the people perception, and I would say that after Russ comment... "Sound advice. I have already advised my colleagues (and myself) to be careful not to paint all the riders with the same brush, and to try to avoid generalizations and emotive language that offends...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

it is the perception of the general public that is in question. The people are influenced by things they read from the PPA and the actions and issues they have brought up in the past. People believe they are against ORV's in general, that's is all that matters. Nothing has been published to...

Recreation in the Pines... My thoughts

You can adopt that belief if you like, but I don't think you will convince anyone else here to believe it... or the other people in the ORV communities for that matter... the only way that opinion will change is with a direct and official statement from the PPA, (and not only on this...
