    Hello...is there anybody in there

From the info we have seen posted, NJCF manages the properties, yet they do not list it as one of their preserves. There is no guarantee that funding from Green Acres guarantee's public access. It would be nice to find the GA application.

    Hello...is there anybody in there

I guess the main question is, who was the ZO referring to when he was basically told no trespassing; the Bio guy or the NJCF guy. Also note in the info window that access is unknown. I wish there was an explanation for all the fields and the abbreviated entries in that info. Those 2 signs may...

    Hello...is there anybody in there

This map shows some detail for each land parcel. The western most parcel is Bio owned and managed, it also has posted signs along Long Swamp Rd. The remaining 3 parcels, including Jumping Brook, are owned and managed by NJCF. The access road/trail, thought to be an easement, is not included...

    Hello...is there anybody in there

I sent an email some time ago to the NJCF asking about the preserve, no response yet and it is not on their list of managed properties yet the info on your map says they own and manage it. What open space file are you using?

    Hello...is there anybody in there

I walked into the preserve using the trail next to the house, maybe 2 years ago in the fall. Its a very nice area. Parked on the other side of the road along the chain link fence. Walking in, a person from the house gave me a friendly wave, no problem, no 'no trespassing' or 'posted' signs...

    Hello...is there anybody in there

This was on the Plumsted Twnshp meeting schedule on 4/4/2018. However this parcel is across the street from the property under discussion in this thread. I believe it is where the canning ruins are behind the chain link fence. "RESOLUTION NO. 2018-157 - AUTHORIZING THE CREDIT REFUND OF TAXES...

    You Decide

If you come up the intercoastal, which I imagine you will, take a detour up the Toms. You can tie off at Huddy Park, the town did a nice job restoring the place. Lot of history on this river. Just do it on a weekday ;)

Big storms coming thru now, but they appear to be moving fast.

More rain. Strange, but I've seen fewer skeeters this summer, have not had to slather up with SSS to work outside. Maybe they drowned....

    Hello...is there anybody in there

Thanks for clearing that up. The owner should have taken those signs down. Twsn't clear who the owner was and of what.

    Hello...is there anybody in there

Thanks for checking. So the ZO says the 'access road' property belongs to the house adjacent to it. At some point they must have had a Wetlands Easement, hence the signs. Perhaps the property owners had problems with folks using it and changed their minds or the property changed owners...

Service station on the Red Lion Circle?

This is another good site to step back in time. Quite a few pictures of old NJ gas stations, but very little for south Jersey. They have onein Toms Rover that was last a hess station before shutting down, and I have passed by the one in Butzville, it is now a private residence; close to Hot...
