    Ocean Spray

I'm no expert but if the pipe wore at those locations it sounds like it may have been from something abrasive in the juice and not acidity. On another note, I like cranberry juice but I especially like it mixed with other juices (grape, apple, raspberry, etc.) or vodka.

    Island Beach

I'm not totally against banding birds and ear-tagging bears etc. but I do think a lot of those piping plover bands wind up in piles of red fox crap at IBSP.

Excellent point. Lots of that shoreline is now bulkheaded or rip-rapped to prevent the transition, this also removes much needed habitat.

    Ghost Forest

HA HA!!! It's payback for all the salt marshes we've filled and built on over the years! And.....the recent approval of spreading dredge spoils over the salt marshes (sure, they've justified it but the truth is it's the easiest, cheapest way to get rid of it) isn't helping things either.

Possible Government Shut-down may affect your weekend..

Saw the same thing at Double Trouble yesterday. I guess the Speaker bashing multi colored posters were placed where the press photographers were more likely to be, like the entrance to IBSP. Of course the explanation will be that they were informational, for those that didn't hear it on the...
