    Interesting Article about Eastern Coyote

Coyotes don’t carry rabies Not everyone agrees. Any warm-blooded mammal can carry or contract rabies, but the primary carriers in North America are raccoons, skunks, bats, foxes, and coyotes. Coyotes & Rabies Coyotes are known carriers of rabies, which is spread through bites and scratches...

    Red Foxes

A raccoon or skunk might, but they are about the same size. We use Ivermectin on our dogs and horses, it is also a wormer. Better read the label for others like cats. If you can find the den then you can target the fox better.

    Red Foxes

If it is mange you can feed them with raw chicken injected with liquid Ivermectin available at stores like Tractor Supply. It is also possible to vaccinate via food.

That bridge is on the Batona Trail and is OK to walk.

Skit Branch bridge closed - advisory from Wharton

The bridge is old and rotten. Two years ago they replaced a plank that broke in the middle of the span. Note that the planks are not supported on the outside ends and snapped at the support beam. Last year a spike kept walking out. The heaviest vehicles I see using this bridge are the FFS power...

Skit Branch bridge closed - advisory from Wharton

Just signs at HF leading to it saying NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES. The bridge is very serviceable.

Skit Branch bridge closed - advisory from Wharton

I can think of 3 Skit bridges, Carranza Road which was open today, Batona Camp and HF. The one at HF is closed to motor vehicles anyway.

    A stockpile of fill dirt

Yes, they are delivered by a contractor and then moved by the state, but it's been long over due to place it.

    A stockpile of fill dirt

There are 3 new piles at Carranza and the Skit. Looks like that hole on Push Line will get done. The piles at the Memorial are untouched.

Nothing like going out at 2AM with a beer and your best buddy and listening to the Children of the Night. That includes the steamy bugs in July.

    A stockpile of fill dirt

The fill that was stored at Carranza Rd and the Skit was used Friday in the hole on Push Line just west of Tuckerton Rd. Not nearly enough fill, still a big bowl and already rutted. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.74246512379299&lng=-74.62670344512941&z=15&type=nj1995&gpx=

    A stockpile of fill dirt

There are 2 loads of bank run sand in the Carranza Memorial parking lot and 3 at Carranza Rd and the Skit. There doesn't appear to be any work done yet but I can think of plenty of places to put it to use.

This happened to me with a horse trailer at the Lower Bank Bridge coming from the south. I didn't know about the clearance until I was up to it. Backed into a parking spot, unhitched, turned the truck around , re-hitched and drove off.
