    Hmmm..are we sure Garoutte died in 1829? I found a deed dated Feb. 16, 1832: Michael Garoutte to John Wescoat - one acre of land for $25.

    The Wharton ledgers place Lafayatte Tavern on Indian Cabin Road. I have yet to look at the original source. Hopefully I'll do that in the near future.

    Yeah, Batsto Forge was on the Nescochague just a bit upstream from the Pleasant Mills Church. Mirey Run feeds into the Sleeper. The pond depicted was created when Joseph Ball dammed the Sleeper.
