    Child Carrier/backpack

That's a good idea. I've taken my 2 and a half year old son on a few short hikes and he's ok walking for about a mile. The backpack would come in handy from that point. He's a big kid so it would also be quite a workout!

    Waaaaaaaaa you got blocked

no more fun The company I work for just installed "Websense" on the network to "protect" the computers. njpinebarrens.com is now restricted ground at my job. I guess I'll have a crack at those overdue monthly reports now that I won't be checking out this site at work anymore. The good news...

    Pines Clean-Up

I promise this is the last post on this subject from me. I DID see all the jeeps I was just poking a little fun at the spelling error. I arrived at approximately 10:30am. As I was pulling in the RedF350 and crew were pulling out and headed down 206. My comment about the 4x4 kids has upset...

    Pines Clean-Up

My comment was about the "4x4 kids", I was unfamiliar with them. And no I saw not a single jeep at the Tanger station. I regret even commenting now because this is gotten very silly.

    Jane Wyatt, NJ Actress, R.I.P.

One of the great things about this site is the spirited debates which often get heated because we don't always agree with each other. ebsi posted this in "General Discussion" and that in my opinion was the appropriate place for this article.

    Jane Wyatt, NJ Actress, R.I.P.

Hey kid. (ooxj56). What happened to the "4x4 kids" According to your posts they were "running the cleanup" I didn't see them there. The post about this 96 year old woman and other posts have shown you're an idiot!

Wharton Cleanup 2006: What a Day!

I planned on being part of that Pestletown crew and it looks like I missed a great day with all of you gentlemen. My cousin and I did have a productive day in the Carranza, Friendship, Harrisville, and Hawkins Bridge areas. My cousin was an hour late in getting to my house in his Jeep that's...

    End of an era.

You guys are speaking my language. Started going into Jay's when I was about 17. Classic place. Jughandle was a Thanksgiving day tradition for me for years after the pennsauken-eustace game, and Lena's always had good wings. I still frequent the Jug periodically.

Ghostly voices of the Pine Barrens," by John E Pearce.

I believe when your talking about an auction such as ebay the money is going to the seller of the book. So John would not be seeing any of that money. I own several pine barrens books but that particular book is not in my collection. Can anyone tell me why it is getting such a high price on...

    Potter co. Pa.

Sounds like some real nice country. Maybe a bunch of us could get a camping trip together up that way sometime. Sorry about your vehicle though. Had a mother and cubs jump out in front of me in Shenandoah, close call.

    Litter in the pines!

I know the area well and I'm sure many of the participants in the clean up know the area well(The Wading River ). I might hit that area a little along with assisting the Pestletown crew. Tom

    The Oswego is calling

Steve, did you put in at Lake Oswego on Monday? If you did I probably saw you. There were tons of kayaks there Labor day. I know exactly what your talking about with those strainers. They've gotten the better of me more times than not. Tom

    Litter in the pines!

We have the same problem down here. On the road to Martha there's a nice ridge overlooking the oswego loaded with remnants of a picnic full of slobs. I've taken bag fulls of trash from this spot only to return a few months later and its the same old #$%@. I would encourage anyone who...

    The Oswego is calling

Our family canoe trip was cancelled on Labor day, canoe rental spots were closed due to high water. We ended up hanging out at Lake Oswego all day. The place was packed but still a good time was had by all. I am thinking of paddling the Oswego either Sunday or Monday to take advantage of the...
