North Face Sz 11.5 Hiking Shoes

As a matter of fact I just relisted them on ebay the other day: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121778507026?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Maggie, that was a great first post. And I don't think that anybody will hate you for wanting some restrictions on motorized access in the pines. In fact we all realize that there's a problem and something needs to change to fix it. I support road closures in areas where there's been significant...

Ah, ok. I didn't get what you were referencing.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

See, the thing is that there's no good reason why this is changing. There's a way to come to a compromise that will make 90% of everyone happy. Some things only inventively change because people will let them change.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

You can thank the State of New Jersey for that. They burned the houses at Friendship, and neglected Atsion to the point that most of the buildings have fallen down. (And potentially burned down the cotton mill there as well.) Al Horner and Rob Auermuller would both say that you are being...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

One final comment about Al Horner's latest masterpiece. I've asked Rob several times for the groups that he consulted with and the names of the people that were there at those meetings. I have been stonewalled in getting that information. As for the Jeep Jamboree, from what I understand...

Counterpoint: In many national parks the risk of dying is significant if you're inexperienced and go off-trail. I don't think that's the case in the Pine Barrens.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

I have to clarify: this is 100% speculation on my part. I'm not saying that PA is benefiting from the MAP today right now, but that I do think that Rob's end game is to totally limit how and where you can experience Wharton State Forest, and there's a few liveries/eco-tourism places that you can...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

*yawn* This is the same old tired rhetoric that he has been trumpeting out since this began. He's continuing to gloss over the fact that it's not just ORV enthusiasts who are against this plan, but everyday ordinary people: kayakers, hikers, botanists environmentalists, historians...

    Denali is Now!

The thread was about renaming the mountain, which could have been fully discussed without going into a whole political diatribe. I don't want this site to turn into a conservative vs. liberal arguing cesspit which it has veered towards many times.

    Denali is Now!

Well not every issue needs to be taken to the extreme of how "awful" Obama is and how dare he use one of his powers that he's allowed to as president. I'd prefer if partisan fighting of that kind stay in the comments section of people's favorite newspaper websites.

    Denali is Now!

RIP Oolong. That bunny was the best thing to happen to this thread. Can we not turn EVERYTHING into a liberal vs. conservative shouting match? Did we really need to go there?

Probably because he's the President of the United States.

Your Forest Under Attack: A Response to the PPA’s Call to Arms

Two days ago the PPA shared an article on Facebook that blasted the DEP for rewriting 1000 pages of coastal environmental regulations without seeking public input. This is the same PPA that supports the MAP which was being implemented without any announcement. They're upset because the cat got...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

My thoughts exactly. The PPA and Rob have legitimate concerns that I would like to see addressed. It's a shame that they do not recognize the legitimate concerns of others.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Areas like Quarter Mile and Hidden Lakes need to be shut down, patrolled, and given a chance to recover. But I agree that the majority of the closures that the MAP advocates is just senseless overreach designed to discourage people from accessing their forest.

    The good 'ol days...

18 officers out patrolling on one day! Now we have two on duty at any given time if we're lucky.

Three Wheeled Mill at Egg Harbor City

Wow. I've never seen a mill with multiple wheels before. Look at the size of the third one (closest to the camera.) It's absolutely massive.
