Just got your PM about it. You can't make new threads there but you can reply to ones put in there. That was the same behavior as on the old forums.

Okay, folks can try the gallery again. The guy who wrote the software logged in and looked at everything and claims it's all good. Looks fine on my end too. If you can't log in, change your password on the forums to something temporary and email me so I can try to log in as you.

I am working with one of the programmers of the gallery software to see if we can straighten this out. In the meantime, don't try to upload anything.

I'm going to be taking the gallery down and working on it for a little while tonight. So, if you see things are weird and I haven't edited this message to say I'm done, don't panic!

Makes no sense. I can log in with my own account and a test account, and Guy can log in as well. It doesn't make sense why the three of us can get in and you folks can't. Your username and password for the forum should work in the gallery. You don't need to register for an account on that software.

You should just IMG tag those article images.

How do you you're ID'd correctly if you can't log in? Can anybody else besides Guy and myself log into their gallery? Also, I highly recommend looking at Flickr for your images going forward. I have a strong feeling that I'm going to be making the gallery read-only soon and having people go...

The gallery software is separate, but it ties into the forums for authentication (so you don't need to make two accounts and you can log into both places with one password.) The problem is that the software that the gallery runs on is, uh, not really so good (and yes, it costs money too) but...

Ok, try to see if you can log in now. The gallery is really messed up but hopefully the user ID's match now. I'm locked out and can't get into the administrator panel, so I have to talk to their support folks.

That requires me making deep edits to the software which will break every time I upgrade. (FWIW, I would have had the same problem with the old forum software.) I also think that, without the word latest, it's not clear quite what the text in that box means.
