The NJGIN servers are pretty slow too. I think for now I'll wait until the MyTopo guys get back to me.

I put in a request with the MyTopo guys last night. Hopefully it won't be too hard to implement. Moving to the Google Maps API v3 would really help too, but my Javascript is very poor (I'm not a programmer) so moving over to it, which will probably require a re-write of the app, will be hard.

The Acme mapper site is what inspired me to make NJPB Live Maps. As far as the topo maps go, Acme is just loading maps from MyTopo. I can make NJPB Live Maps fetch topos from there instead of Terraserver.

The gallery now looks (roughly) like the rest of the site, with navigation links to bring you back to the forums and front page.

He really does seem to not get a lot of attention besides passing mentions here and there in our favorite Pine Barrens books.

Image galleries are really hard to do right, especially this software which is a little on the buggy side. If there are bugs I need to rely on people telling me what the problem is. Because, as this thread has shown, there are situations where the gallery works perfectly for me or others and...

Save all of your pictures and upload them to Flickr or some other site.

Clear all your cookies, change your forums password and try again. Besides that, I have no idea. It's a buggy piece of software that is incredibly fragile. I'm not going to mess with it any more than I already have. If it stops working for more people I'll just rip it out faster.

I don't know. It works for me and everyone else, plus I had the guy who wrote the software in and looked at it.

I can see all 10 pages of the members galleries. All usernames in the gallery are mapped to the same user name in the forums. You can't have separate ones.

I'd be wary of any of those historic marker signs. The spelling and grammar on all of them are pretty atrocious, which leads me to believe that they shouldn't relied upon for canonical evidence of anything. Hrm, an article on Hamton Furnace would be nice to have...

At this current moment in time, the gallery is in no danger of going anywhere. But rest assured if/when I decide to get rid of it, it will just go read-only for a while and sit for a few months. I'm going to give plenty of advanced notice if/when it goes away. So nobody panic, your photos are safe.

Can't get into your image gallery? Change your forums password by going to: http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/account/security You don't need to change it to anything new, just change it to the same thing. Then once that's done try logging into the gallery. It should work after that. If not, let...
