Woke up Sunday morning to 1/2 inch. Went for a hike. Got home at 11 and got another 1 1/2. The sun came out at 2. It got dark at 5:30. Poured until 8. another 2 3/4 inches for a total of 4 3/4 inches.
High Crossing was leveled late in 1999 so the FFS could get to a fire at Quarter Mile. They also bulldozed the road south of the tracks and made several new ones circling the fire creating the Q Mile.
We came across this camp on Sunday. It is past the little bridge at Batona Camp. Today we found them stuck, we turned around. We often see out of staters camping here, they must have some local knowledge, but there is much heavy sand.

Just in case you are wondering where the smoke is coming from, there is a brush fire by County Line Bridge on Jackson Road. Forestry is on it.

II thought of you when I saw the article. Beautiful views upstairs, great in bad weather when you can't use the deck. It appears it will still be a restaurant. Here is a fun video of what is underneath it.

I'm not sure what to expect but it was a nice place to hang.
It is an exercise in futility to even be discussing maps IF the state doesn't step up to their responsibility and maintain them. I don't want to hear about a map if all of the roads are not passable. Jason, you are wasting everyones time. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!
