    'Hawkin Swamp, a PBX Hike.

Yes Oji...that is a nice ring, right? They are likely all connected by rhizome. Saw them more than once. PS: They were at my feet in the last photo Scott posted as I was talking to Chris. German, that species was discussed, but none of us knew for sure. We all just settled on white pine.

    Invalid Birdseye file

Boyd, this reminds me of a question I wanted to ask you, though only somewhat related. I know there are two main terrain GPS brands out there; Magellan and Garmin. What is the consensus amongst all your GPS forum participants as far as accuracy...who generally sells the most consistently...

    'Hawkin Swamp, a PBX Hike.

Good report Chris. I wish I were in on the beginning. That millstone is certainly something to see. Did you estimate it's size? Judging by the photo, I'd say 5 feet in diameter, though it looks broken at one side. When I went through the waypoint "cedar", I found the last truck in, and it...

    The plains

It is hard to tell what was there...but you can see why they like the area. It's a big plateau, with only a 10 difference in elevation.

    The plains

Oh yeah. I went down that road about 1/3 of the way to the backside and nearly got stuck. Pure clay in some spots. I turned around. I knew I was whipped.

    The plains

Yes JD, tis that exactly, and yes amongst the crowberry. I think they must have been a lot further out from the tower at one time. Or maybe there was a different tower. This was no more than 500 feet in from Beaver Dam Road. Here is the old base of the cable support (I presume).

    Mining In Jackson

All well said Scott (and true), but to this day I cannot see the sense of providing our local mine in Bamber with a Class B recycling permit on top of the sand taking. Give them an inch and they take a mile...and then try to take a mile more.

    The plains

Ain't it nice? I was there Saturday. I was by the FAA tower. There is an area across the road from there that I like to wander around in .

    Islands in the Pines

Yes, I love that area too. The swale you crossed has great significance for Guy too, in regards to one of the plants he likes. It's found at the outlet at the lagoon. I recognized the swale first as you were crossing it in the video.
