The Pine Barrens: The Past, the Politics & the Future Mar. 3, 2 p.m.

Good grief, the real knives are out in the hands of the people giving feedback. Writers and wanna-be writers all slaughtering each other. Who the hell cares to be a critic? To me it is such a useless thing to make critique of the written word into a work all of itself. If I don't like a book, I...

Is it ok to shoot dumpers?

Can you pinpoint that on a map for me? If it is in our area we can pick them up during our annual cleanup.

    2013 Lines On The Pines

Kind of you to say George, but I'll have to pass on this one. My younger brother needs my help to move a ton of stuff I have been holding for him in "my" garage. This is one of those things that got pushed off for months, and now the stars are all aligned. I gotta do this.

    Lichen 03.02.2013

Al, I've never heard the term "Tin Soldier Lichen". I've always heard it called "British Soldier Lichen". I've noticed your use of that name before. Is it a local name for that Lichen? I'm not saying it is wrong, as common names for plants are never really wrong per se, because they are never...

    Friendship creek headwaters

Nice photo Jeff. One very cool thing is how close the Batsto and Friendship Creek (Rancocas) are when they begin. On the "Begin the Batsto" PBX explore we ended up at the circle on the left.

    Hey! Look what I found

Say what? I didn't know you could do that. I'd post a hell of a lot more photos if that is the case. But does it blow away Ben's storage capacity? Here, I'm going to try one: It worked good. I took it off as it detracted from this topic.

    Oak Leaf Preserve?

It is most certainly okay to visit Oak Leaf Preserve anytime. It is only 34 acres, but our main purpose in obtaining it is to supply a place one can go that is close by for some solitude without hassle. PS: if you are standing on Lacey road looking north towards the preserve, that trail on the...

Bass River Headwaters Area ... A PBX Hike

:p I had a darn good time despite the weather. It had to be the woods and the company--always cheers me up. I laughed more on this outing than on many others. Thanks again for the eats Scott. Those stuffed cherry peppers were simply the best I've ever had. Perfect. Thanks to all for your...

    Nor’easter expected

This is a very interesting image of what happens in a nor'easter. I like how it turns counter-clockwise in such a tricky manner. It was a late spin this time, which is what spared us I think. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/0213-noreaster.html
