    May Arethusa

Myself, Guy, Jess, and Mike Baker did a little local exploring this morning for Arethusa. I love this orchid, as each is original. I give them female names because of their beauty. This is Grace. This is Kim. And we went to a spot I always wanted to visit. It is stunningly beautiful. The...

Some were rotten. He tried walking on top of some, balancing with...

    Movin' on out

Guy, Jeff, and several others of us were hiking over behind Lebanon Lakes a year or two later, and we found clothing in the trees in a very remote spot. It had to be that storm.

    Mary Ann Forge

A good read Jerseyman. This last sentence reminds me that we had a good debate on this subject in a post awhile back... "At some point in time following the cessation of ironworking, the area around Mary Ann Forge became dedicated to cranberry production." Yes, I remember the canals etc.

    Bad Hail Storm

It was absolutely ROARING! It sounded like a heavy freight train, and marbles being thrown at the roof by a giant. The wind was swirling, and the temperature dropped 12 degrees in 10 minutes. Some of the hail pile up was so thick on the roadside, that it lasted until the morning.

Fishing is one of the most regulated businesses around

Hmmm...."“The government needs to stay out of the fishing business. This is our water. It belongs to the people of the U.S., not the government,” said John Perri, 60, of Pleasantville." Let's see how that would go!

Request to close Oyster Creek nuclear plant

You guys don't have the all the facts. Corrosion in the bottom of those containers is well known and dates back many years. It is periodically ultrasonically tested to determine if the thickness is decreasing. It is not a partisan thing, so don't assume so.

    Tree Frog at Friendship Bogs

Guy, I don't know whether you notice me doing it or not, but as you call, AAACK, AAACK, AAACK, close both nostrils with your index fingers on the side of the nose (press in) everytime you make the sound.
