"Army Corps of Engineers geologist Fred Smith once stated, "The Mississippi wants to go west. 1973 was a forty-year flood. The big one lies out there somewhere—when the structures can't release all the floodwaters and the levee is going to have to give way. That is when the river's going to jump...
Everytime I see her work I fear for my pocketbook. Greenbacks want to fly out and consume her paintings. Seriously, it is that good--like walking into one of those small bakeries or chocolate shoppes that have a glass case filled with things you simply must have.
Thanks Ben, that is much easier on the eyes. The color is not real important too me, but the contrast is. I like seeing the date.
PS: thanks for the link. It's cool to see what goes on in the background with programming types.

Nice report as usual Guy. What a pleasant surprise this trip was. I was sure we'd be beating back briars half the day....all sweaty and cursing. But it was really nothing like that. A 70 degree day with a nice mixture of sun and clouds, 5 miles of swamp, interesting topography, and good freinds...
Nice report Guy! I see the woods are greening up good. I'm surprised you remembered that stick trick....it makes you commit to..."do something for God's sake!". :p
Nice avatar Gabe.
One of the best western scenes of all time....when a dripping wet Clint Eastwood, carrying a double barrel tells Little Bill in the tavern..."I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill...
