    Tuesday with Alfie

Stunning photography as usual Bill. Unfrikkinbelievable (if that is a word). I was there last year (Al showed me the way)....at that house....and my photos are downright embarrasing next to yours. I shan't post any. No sir, I won't.

    More mountain lion sightings

Al, I did see a mink behind Bamber on the Chamberlin Branch about 10 years ago. My dog treed him. Never saw a weasel or any kind of large cat.

What's your handle George? Fire that baby up! I had one in my 75 CJ5. My handle was Cripple Creek. I was into the craze for awhile. People would help each other. Some old ladies were on 24/7. They could always be relied upon to relay things to someone else or to just talk about the weather.

Sue, I think you are very close. It did have little wheels on the end you cannot see. This thing is cast iron. Did they go to that much trouble for a sewing machine?

Ben, I think the forum front page is too wide and the color for the topic text (on the right) is too light green. Not contrasted enough.

Yep. I respect your fear of them. You had a bad experience. I also have a fear of wasps....not an unreasonable fear, but a healthy one. When I was 8, I put a lollipop in my mouth. The other side of it had a wasp on it that I did not see. My lip swelled up like a balloon. If I see a wasp...

    Quote from the AP

I did not watch an Eagles game during this regular season...because the way I smack the Reid / Mcnabb duo around, I thought it would be false of me to root him on after calling Mcnabb a post-season choker for years. But I did watch yesterday's wild-card game, because I was ready to apologize...

Apple Pie Hill Tower Smashed Again

It is a really considerate thing you did today Bean. We need everyone to take the initiative and get involved...a good example for others to follow.

All I meant was that even those who are less fearful of water than I am can have a bad experience where they are frightened, and that bad experience can slow them down in the future....be a little more hesitant to take risks.

Thanks George, you are a good friend. Yes, he died at 49 years old. My real father died when I was 3 (he was 27), and my real mother died when I was 11 (she was 36). And all my grandparents are deceased too. I have outlived all my parents. If any of you out there have a mother, please give...

Well, there's always a tiny trace of love built into a relationship that covered so many years wherein he took care of me and my siblings. It can't be easily dismissed, so its hard to publicly call him names, or to hear others do that. He died in 1980.

Yup. When I lived in Hampton Lakes my stepdad threw our beagle pup in one side of the spillway and I had to watch him laugh when he came up for air sputtering on the other side of the road. To this day, thinking of being sucked under a spillway, or even boating or canoeing near one gives me...
