    Caution--for men only

That was hilarious! The best side of the house for a hen-pecked husband is the outside. (Washington Irving--Rip Van Winkle).

    Flower ID

Tom, I assume these are all weedy non-native PB vegetation. Number one is spotted knapweed. A pernicious pest. Number two is unknown to me..pea family? Number three looks like a Chrysanthemum. Number four is unknown to me....looks like Spirea....but the flowers are too big. Is that a...

    Music for the day

Wasn't he good Al? He was great! He had this way of making the guitar talk, as if it the guitar had a mind of its own. This man could chew gum and play guitar at the same time, and it was so fluid and at the same time raucously dominating!

    Sunday's walk-about with Buddy

    This Weekend at Stafford Forge

I agree with Guy, tho I've never collected it yet. Yarrow. PS: beautiful shot of that egret taking off. What's it look like trimmed to just the bird with the water droplets trailing off the legs?

    Sunday's walk-about with Buddy

Sunday was a great day, eh? I went out to the Middle Branch of the Forked River. If you were zooming by on the Parkway, you mayhaps saw me. Buddy and the water snake prepare for battle. A stupendous stand of Narthecium americanum. I estimate 8,000. Close up of Bog Ashpodel...

    This Weekend at Stafford Forge

That is Deptford pink.....Dianthus armeria. The other one is not pipewort. It is something I am unfamiliar with. Do you have a shot of the entire plant? It seems to be an asteraceae of some sort. It was in a weedy area?

    On the go today!

Guy, that plant that bee is invading. What was it? Do you have other photos of it?

    Music for the day

That is a great version. So young! I always wondered whether Levon's head was permanently twisted from the way he sang. Speaking of permanently twisted....that's me for going to Watkins Glen in (1972?) and not seeing any of the bands play except for about 2 hours. It was the Dead, the Allman...

    Music for the day

Ditto. I always liked Michael and felt bad for the afflictions he had....where he desperately wanted out of his skin. If only he knew how much he would have been loved just by being himself. He could have been so much more.

Thanks Tom. Fagen is a genius. That is a great tune. Fagen is really funny too while performing. Here is a more recent one I like.

    Music for the day

Bravo! You all have good taste in music. I have enjoyed this thread, especially Johnny Cash. When my daughter was about 14 we went to Blockbusters to pick out a used CD or two. I was really frustrated as all they had was crap at high prices. I ended up picking up a cassette tape of Johnny...
