    Our Day In The Pines

That is a blueberry bush. I've seen a lot of blueberry bushes in the pines, but this is the first time I've seen one where the stem is over 3" in diameter. I think it's actually 4 inches.

    Our Day In The Pines

Speaking of plants. I found this on Thursday. The section shown is 3" in diameter. Guess what kind of plant it is.

I like how you outlined it Guy. Here is a closeup of this orchid.

    The green fog has begun

Today is our worst day yet in Bamber. Awful. BTW: I lost my allergies! I'm not kidding. Knock on wood. Did not have any last year either.

    Permethrin ads

I've seen that for about 2 years now. I am skeptical as to the amount of time they last. My inclination is to not trust them. I don't even trust a single application of permethrin to last longer that 5 washes.

    J. Garfield Demarco; Over and Out

Tim was in the top 10, no doubt about it. The dentist skit is hilarious. One of many he did with Carol's show.

    J. Garfield Demarco; Over and Out

I'm shocked! A conversation with Ted never exceeds 30 minutes. :p

    J. Garfield Demarco; Over and Out

Garfield DeMarco, as Ted Gorden relates in this post from awhile ago, was a complex, often generous man, who actually did love the land. "Bob, I already had the above articles in my files but am pleased that you posted them here. I met Garfield De Marco in the early 1970s and became acquainted...

    Pine Barren History Shorts

I did some searching, and could not find anything related. It was unlikely a jet, probably a prop job.

Bottom of the foot? I would think she may have twister her ankle doing that.

    Maximum Security

I have no standing in trying to determine who actually won. I don't watch or follow horse racing, am not a jockey, or a horse owner, or a steward in charge of the race, and I don't know all the rules and regulations. To look at that video and make a professional call would be difficult for me...

    Sawmill Or Something Else

Apparently there are actually two species in the genus that actually are white. Don't think they are in NJ though. https://goorchids.northamericanorchidcenter.org/species/cypripedium/candidum/ https://goorchids.northamericanorchidcenter.org/species/cypripedium/montanum/

    Buzby's is up for sale.....

Kitchen on the second floor. Ugh. Must have been the one the family used while the grill downstairs was busy with customers.

    Buzby's is up for sale.....

Why do you say that? I'm just curious. I've never been in there but one time in the 1960's, but I remember she hired a master carpenter to do the work. That must count for something.

    Sawmill Or Something Else

I should say that the "labellum" is white. The lady slipper flower has 3 petals; 2 lateral ones (those long and narrow ones) and the lower petal lip (the labellum). Note that on this one, the lateral ones are mostly pink.

    Sawmill Or Something Else

Guy, that looks like a white-flowered lady slipper, no? I've never seen one with a white flower yet, though others have.
