Police in New Jersey search for alligator on the loose

:) He'd look up at me and ask "where's the fish?".

    Bass River Fire Tower proposal

Though he is a good writer, and it's an interesting article, when pressed he also may have chosen to step back and accept massive sand road closures too, leaving it to the "more qualified sorts". Luckily, we know better than the more qualified sorts in that case.

    Ceiling fan

If you have a need for a 42” ceiling fan made for high or sloped ceilings, I have one that runs good and is free to whomever wants it. It’s all white, reversible, and 3 speed. The reversible blades are light oak style on the other side. Comes with an 18” down rod and ceiling bracket. Also have...

    Woodland Township sunset

No offense taken. I was only stating a fact. I don't have the patience for learning real camera shooting, and I'm basically pleased with what I get.

    1st of the season

There was an interesting phenomena out there on that day. There were clouds spaced well apart, and so once they darkened the land, if you'd look through the burnt trees when the sun started to come back out, you'd see this spreading area of light approaching you very quickly through the trees...

    The new, improved

These days people wantonly destroy wooden bridges. The human race cannot be trusted with them. Last year the one in Bamber was set afire. Did you notice the vandalism has already begun on that construction site?

    Stormy Hill?

I think you should not be shy about asking Mr. Haines if you could visit it. Perhaps he'd have one of his workers accompany you.

    Stormy Hill?

And way back in 1931, there may have been structures there.

    Stormy Hill?

It is, in effect, a big island, right Al? So, looking at it in that way, I feel it may have a lot of emotional attachment for the berry owners and workers. Maybe an easy place to get away from the world and hold family picnics and other events.

    Stormy Hill?

Yes, here it is. This is south of Speedwell, southewest of Bear Swamp Hill, and West of route 563. This is a topo map well over 100 years old.

    Stormy Hill?

I think I do remember that being over by 563 (West of it), close to the Wading River. I think I can find it.

    1st of the season

You see the green vegetation. If the hunter cleared it last year (or even the year before), and threw down veggies, that was fertilizer for the vegetation. If you think it was just a vortex, then why no pine needles? I've seen young shoots of corn growing in the same type of hunter clearings...
