    Silver Fox Inn

Its your lucky day. Check out the following thread. Largo, Suresue and myself did some highly scientific research there last Friday night. :) http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/showthread.php?t=4549

Exploring a Different Area of Wharton

Hey Guy! The guy whose license number appears on the disk is named Guy! Isn't that ironic? He is a good surveyor and his name is Guy DeFabrites, (lic. no. 34843) Fralinger is a very reputable firm and does a lot of Green Acres work. My lic. no. is 35403. The numbers include Professional...

    Atsion Baby Bog

Geocaching in the pines presents a real dichotomy for me. My wife loves it and I enjoy it too, in fact we are out there almost every Sunday afternoon in the winter. However, I do feel that it brings a lot of people into remote and pristine areas of the woods who wouldn't normally be have...

    Atsion Baby Bog

We came through there last night just before dark and there were two vehicles parked at that bog on the edge of Quaker Bridge Road. You must have piqued someone's interset Ben. A ranger passed us there and there were three people hiking east through the woods along the Mullica side of the...

    The Fox

The thing that amazed me is when I asked her if she was only open Friday and Saturday nights, she said, "I am open every night". She was surprised that I had never been in before, having lived only 3 miles away for the last 24 years. She almost sounded disappointed when she said she has to...

    The Fox

I started the night by parking my truck next to the landmark potted blue Cadillac that I had only seen from the highway until then. Walking up the steps you are geeted by "The Silver Fox Inn" artfully cast into the concrete steps. The place has a surreal and comfortable feel to it, which is...

    I have now seen everything.

They ain't real piney chicks. Most of them appear to have all their teeth and I didn't see any tatoos. :)

I was very sorry to hear about that attack as I too have a son living away at college. I couldn't imagine having to go through the loss of a child due to a vicious beating or any other violence. Bob, I hope your daughter remains safe in what should be the best time of her life. Scott

    Boyd's Hotel Site

Seems like it is always open by 7 or 8 on Friday nights. I have been tempted to wheel in several times but couldn't talk the wife into it.

Oct 28 9:45 6th annual PINE BARRENS 4 WHEEL DRIVE CLEANUP

No I don't Guy but I may be able to confirm in a day or so. I am swamped tomorrow. The Survey maps that I gave you the lead on a few years ago are not an official ownership record by any stretch. The former ranger that I told you to contact and others before him used to pencil in "State" and...

My gut is that it is Wescoat mainly because every dead one in the Pleasant Mills Cemetery at the end of the road leading to the bogs is a "Wescoat". http://interment.net/data/us/nj/atlantic/pleasant_mills.htm

If we walked in from the Batsto end did we enter the Eas side of Wescoat? :)

    newbie at GPS question

In GoogleEarth, go to "tools" and then "options". You can set the units to display as degrees and decimals of a degree OR degrees, minutes seconds and decimals of a second. The default is degrees, minutes, seconds and decimals of a second. The degrees, minutes, seconds prototcol is the same...

Oct 28 9:45 6th annual PINE BARRENS 4 WHEEL DRIVE CLEANUP

Jeff and Bob both know the New Lisbon area very well. During the 2 times I have been there with them, I saw enough trash to fill at least a 30 yarder in just on one short stretch of road. The area is very close to 4 Mile Circle so it really isn't that far out there.

Dottie won a NJ Parks and Forestry tote bag. I think it will hold a 12 pack and ice if I pack it right. :) I think the rest of our group went home with dusty clothes and a couple chiggers.

Oct 28 9:45 6th annual PINE BARRENS 4 WHEEL DRIVE CLEANUP

A great day in the woods with good friends. My camera had some issues so I have nothing to post. George and I have noticed a drop in the dumping down this way in the past few years and we worked hard to put together three loads of crap on the south side of the local bogs. Bob has a good idea...

Oct 28 9:45 6th annual PINE BARRENS 4 WHEEL DRIVE CLEANUP

I was thinking about the area where you, me and Bob hiked around Bisphams Mill. The roadsides there were really bad. A little bit of a haul from Atsion though. Scott
