Several weeks ago, my thoughts turned toward the holidays. Along with other familiar items, the idea of an Advent calendar came to mind. So, with your kind indulgence, yours truly intends to present a kind of Advent calendar here. In lieu of candy, each day's "treat" from December 1st to Christmas will be a clip from Monty Python's Flying Circus, the Pythons' original BBC series. I am a long-time Monty Python fan. I personally know of a few others here, and suspect (as well as hope!) there are many more who will enjoy these sketches.
To keep in line with NJPB policy, the clips have been chosen to avoid anything not appropriate for young folks. Although that criterion rules out a number of sketches (including some of my personal favorites), that still leaves more than enough "G-rated" material for this project.
Along with each day's clip will be a bit of dialog that will be part of the following day's clip, a clue for what's to come. Here is the one for tomorrow:
