On that same note, (hope you don't mind), what would be a recommendation for a good map/atlas of New Jersey? The Delorme Atlas/Gazeteer was my first thought, but is there one better? I'm thinking topography, off-highway, and road atlas. Please include price points, if you know. $20 for the Delorme is in my budget...

Hope I didn't Hijack...:jeffd:

Road maps? The Delorme atlas is good. Sadly there is no Hagstrom road map of Burlington county. The Hagstrom map of Ocean County is pretty good.

For off-highway use, I'll always recommend the USGS 1:24K topo maps that you can buy at the Batsto Visitors Center or the Atsion Ranger Station for $5 each. You can also view them for free at TopoZone.com.

The Historic Maps that I have online here are also great resources. If you're handy with photo editing software you can slice them up to show various places you're looking to explore and carry them along with you.
