Well we definitely got more than the 2"-4" that they forecast. Looks like about 6" here. I don't plan to use the snowthrower, it should all melt when the temperatures get up around 50 this weekend.
Just measured exactly 6" in the yard and also the roof of the car. But it's the lightest, dryest snow I've seen for a long time. A broom was more effective than a shovel. This is going to settle into almost nothing very quickly. Some slippery spots underneath though where the old snow melted and froze.
Leave it out? I might put it in the oven before the next use to thaw...my...ass...out.

I'm not digging the fact that it's going to be a very heavy snow. The stuff we've been having has been easy shoveling and not a weight concern on the roof. This storm will be much different.

I had mine all prepped for the 1/22 storm, didn't need it though. Haven't used it in like 3 years. It just isn't worth the effort of plowing almost 1000' of driveway unless my car won't go through it.

We started out with heavy rain early this AM, then turned to heavy snow which accumulated about an inch before turning to sleet. Its been sleeting/snowing on and off since then, a nice slop, snowing right now. Roads are not good, nice and slippery. I heard a bit inland is a body shop heaven.

Just back in from shoveling the cement before it sets up overnight. I had bought what appeared to be some amazing stuff a couple of months back and treated my work gloves with it. It is as amazing as the ads say. The stuff outside is sopping wet, with this stuff applied the gloves stayed completely dry, fun to watch the flakes land, melt and roll off, just like the stuff in the video. Boots and shovels next.
