I decided to return to the calico area on Sunday to take some pictures with my new camera. This was a solo outing as i needed some quiet and solitude. The former big puddle, a small lake six weeks ago.
This go around was also a lake six weeks back, i walked through the former big puddle, and if i had my choice, i would take that with a four wheel drive, the go by is 3 feet deep trenches, quite a few of them too.
I then visited this swamp.
A cellar hole around the swamp.
I walked a little further up the road to this canal.
I then turned around to go back to my car, rode down the road for a little, then stopped to do a little more exploring, walked up a ridge line, across from a cranberry bog and viewed this.
Hiking further in the area i viewed the bog, pic is in my album, then i came upon this.
I then decided to return home, the road from calico to allen' road had two small puddles where oswego road meets allen's road, i have some pics in my gallery of a fire pit with extinguishers in them and also of the concrete ruins. Oswego road to munion field road was another story.
Sugar sand caused me to rev it up 70% of the time, i passed this gun club on the way, anyone know it's name.

I have two other pics in my album, one of a gravel pit, that was full of water a month ago, and a pic of the great white cedar restoration project.
What an outing, no ticks, no flies, of course i was protected.
