Found this today near Friendship in the woods.

main.php

My wife noticed that it appears to have been dumped from a pan since the edges are rounded and it is somewhat square.

It was starting to stink :(

was it close to the road ? if it was, maybe just more dumpings from classless people using the pines for a dump

it always made me sick to see low class people using the pines for a dumping ground and it seemed to get worse year by year

in hiking around just after deer season up here i have yet to see a pile of "deer guts" laying out in the open or much of any other trash dumped in the woods

different attitudes in different places i guess

I find deer gut piles aaaaaall the time. I don't really think a whole lot of it since they are likely to be consumed quickly by animals and/or bacteria. It's the beer cans everywhere that really bug me.

The worse I've seen to date is all the trash I saw along Mt. Misery Road last Saturday. I would take at least 6-8 full sized dumpsters to remove all of what I saw and that's just what I could see from the road.

 to me the people that do this,if they have no respect for the environment,it makes you wonder if they have any respect for their fellow humankind?

People can be pretty crappy. Anyone been to Sandy Ridge lately? Looks like someone backed up a truck to one of the cellar pits and totally filled it with old appliances and other assorted household garbage.
We usually take several trash bags out with us, too. It never ends though. Last summer, we totally filled the Jeep with trash we removed from just the Friendship ruins. I am guessing people think rangers will clean it up. Or something.

Really? That surprises me. I used to live in that area and Mount Misery road was always very clean.

What say you Jeff?

Are you being sarcastic Bob? If not things have changed. Between route 70 and Browns mills Junction it is bad. REally weird stuff too. Like, an old fridge with various raw animal parts, a pile of blue fish (gone in 2 days thank God), a rottweiler (spelling) wrapped in a blanket. Matresses, I once found a newspaper vending machine, soda vending machines. I was at lower mill this morning and there are mountains of dumps in there. Here is what I saw on nearby Turkey Buzzard Bridge road today.

it's probably easier and quicker to get rid of the stuff legally, my town will take all most anything away with bulk, and what they will not take you can bring to the dump yourself, the contactor garbage you find is most likely from the fly by night contractor with no dep number to dump, no matter where I go in the pines I allways find some kind of illleagal dumping.

I was surprised at how much "contractor" stuff I saw. Old shingles, fences, bathtubs, etc.

Contractor stuff is almost at the top of my list for major crap seen in the pines!! Cheap Bastards !! I would love to catch just one. I would spend any time in a court required to see him shut down!!
