All,
I want to update everyone on a couple things I have learned about the West Mill Road gate and other items concerning Paradise Lake. RednekF350 has been using aerial photos to watch the progression of the construction of a bridge on the Paradise Lake property across the Albertson Brook or the Nescochague, whatever you prefer to call it. I think we all can be confident that a permit and approval may have been required do this and I doubt the state gave one. What does this bridge mean? Well, there is now access from West Mill Road to the southern side of the Paradise Lake property completing what must have been the end goal all along. If you have Google Earth you can see it yourself or just look at the photos below and notice the date on them.
9/6/2013 the dike is in full vegetation.
4/16/2016 shows what appears to be debris pushed into the brook and the dike cleared.
10/26/2017 the bridge appears to be complete.
As for the gate, I won't go into too much detail but I can tell you that legal documents between the owner of the property and the town of Hammonton are clearly stated below concerning pedestrian access to West Mill Road at his gate and anywhere else along West Mill Road. Unfortunately, the document allows him to block the road from vehicles. I am pretty certain the state is still working on that one.
For all pedestrians.
