Ok so the girlfriend saw the Cranberry Festival last year on Food Network so now we're going this weekend. I did a search for posts and found a few that said it was a little on the cheesy side, but I'm hoping that its a nice day and that the band is good. I missed the Jamboree because I had to work all weekend :bang: which sucks because I really wanted to see some live bluegrass. Has anyone been to the breakfast at the firehouse in the morning? I'm looking forward to that because those types of things are usually pretty good. A few minutes down the road from me in Crosswicks the Quaker Meeting House has Sunday breakfasts every so often...mmmmm mmmmm...

Anyway, it'll be good to go for a few hours and do some exploring later. If you're going to be there either day let me know.

I'll be there Sunday.

I am "meh" on the whole thing. With the excepttion of a few things here and there, there's not much that has to do with cranberries. It's more craft vendors, cheap clothes, and kids with annoying pop guns (well, that was Batsto this year...)

While out today, we made the mistake of getting caught on RT-539, right past this festival. What a friggin' mess. It would have really been nice if some police were there for traffic control. Between the folks parking all along the road and the people attempting to cross the street (at every point imaginable), it was a real hassle.

539? that isn't very close to the festival. Did you mean 532 or maybe 563? Usually they have some traffic control but not always. I'm going tomorrow. My father in law is baby sitting so my wife and I can get out for a little bit. It has gotten a bit commercial for my tastes but my wife likes all the crafts. It can be too crowed for me sometimes.

My bad. It's whatever road that ran right thru the festival. What was pretty funny was to see the homeowners charging $4.00 to park in their yards..... and people actually paying them to park.

They should let you park on the landing strip at the Parker Preserve and shuttle to it.

It was just as I had expected. It's essentially a big flea market. The only things having to do with cranberries that I saw was the stand selling them, and the stands selling cranberry ice cream. Didn't see the PPA there, no real mention of the Pinelands.

The music was nice, though. Loved the Skynyrd covers. The car show was pretty nice.
