Dairy Queen?

I think the old foundations of that Dairy Queen are still there at 539 and 70. Wait a minute.....Bob never did build that one!

Its never too late Guy! We'll, yeah, maybe it is. I am amazed no one has developed that corner yet. It must be the sewer and electric line thing.

Wawa site....

Does anyone remember what the ice cream stand was called where the Wawa is now located? It's been a long time and I can't remember the name. It may take some old timers to come up with the answer.

Bob...did someone have that idea before you :)

I do remember that ice cream stand where the wawa is now. I cannot remember the name, but it was a very small, low white building with those sliding windows for customers. It was there in the early 70's. I even vaguely remember the old wooden garage on the far corner. And I think there was another ice cream stand across the street that was even older.

I finally remember the name of the store. It's "Hilliards". It took a while but it came to me.

Good thing the Evergreen Dairy Bar is still up the road, sliding windows and all. It's by the Purgatory Rd. intersection not far from the famous landmark The Hubcap (Place) I just went there the other week. The diner section had a breakfast special - 2 eggs, 2 strips bacon, 3 pancakes and something else, maybe toast for $3.50

I used to date a girl who went to Rowan University. I would often come back home really late at night and pass the Evergreen Dairy Bar and it would be PACKED full of cars at like 2AM. Anybody know what went on then? I assume the place was closed...?

I believe it has new owners. They even have a cruise night on I believe Tuesdays nights.

I went to the hub cap place also, and he discovered that my hub caps are replacement ones with a Ford sticker placed in the middle of it. I have to buy 4 of them to replace the one I am missing. I think I will ride around with one missing for a while longer.
