I wasn't so down on nascar till they built this track next to my house.now I have to hear it and deal with the traffic it causes on the way to work.If I wanted to live in the city I'd have moved to the city but as it is motorsports has brought the city to me.
My oldest stepdaughter is hot on some young nascar driver i forget his name,is that the same with jess?I find most women don't care for racing they just care for race car drivers.Same as men that really don't like football, they just like cheerleaders.
I try to see things from other people perspectives occasionally but so far the racing thing escapes me,I mean how many times can you get excited when one redneck hollers to the other Hey Bubba! Look! He's makin a left hand turn! Oh my God! Look! He'a makin another left hand turn!
By the way do not show Jess this post. She's a prime stone spotter and instead of uncovering them for us she may sit on them as we go by out of spite for my anti nascar attitude.
I went to the barrens alone today and was there all day and did not hear one race car and did not see another individual in the woods excluding forays onto blacktop to more woods and one canoe party on the wading. Now thats a nice day.Why would anyone willingly subject theirselves to that noise?I know a man who for christmas last year his daughter bought him a service on tv where when he watches nascar he can hear what is said in any car of his choice, the driver cussing and whatnot and this is his thing! It excites him!I know not why,he would surely feel the same way about me beating through the brush to locate old rocks that were put there by surveyors 200 years ago,or why when I find a pine snake laying across my path I whoop for joy. Most people think I'm crazy for getting mad when i find someone has intentionally killed a snake.I guess theirs some things beyond my comprehension and always will be.I"m ranting,I"ll stop now.
