I used to date a few girls at Rowan University, and would frequently go up and down Rt. 70 really late at night. I would always see cars parked there around 2-4 AM. I thought it was some sort of Mafia thing...

Rowan? I remember it being Glassboro State Teachers' College for years before it became Rowan (named for someone who donated an ungodly amount of money to the place). If I remember correctly, it was called Glassboro State Normal School even earlier. It's like where my grandmother went in the early 1920s, The New Jersey State Normal School in Trenton, now called Trenton State College, but recently renamed The College Of New Jersey (I think).

I dated a girl who went to Trenton State. They changed in 1995 or 1996, and gave double diplomas to those who were accepted when it was still Trenton State. So she has both a Trenton State and TCNJ diploma. Everyone there hated the name change, and there were a LOT of student protests to get the Trenton State diplomas.
