Fire in Greenwood Forest Ocean County Near Jones Road

I’ll take 10 ticks over 1 chigger. But fire removes both. Win-Win.
I have literally had 10 ticks this season already doing a 2-day job in Winslow.
Yea, they have been bad the past week. Two nights ago I was brushing my teeth and felt something on my ear and the next thing I know one fell into the sink.

I have been brushing a few ticks off my pants, but got chigged pretty bad up and down my left leg a week ago after wandering through some underbrush on my property. I actually saw one of those little guys on my pants yesterday, really tiny and looked like a speck of dirt or dried leaves until I noticed it moving.

You know, you finally get a kid to crawl out of his mother’s basement and into the big woods and he does this. :(

Bob, I am posting a link to a press conference that I just watched. OC Prosecutor Brad Billhimer indicates that lots of technology and some witness testimony went into the arrest.
He’s got a dry sense of humor. I like his opening comment thanking the Fire Warden for setting up the podium facing the sun.:)

Just don’t go exploring in a recently burned area with clothing and equipment you’re fond of. I learned that the hard way.
I always come out with black clothes and skin. The problem with that for me is my car turns black. I have to use the “The Pink Stuff” cleaner all the time on my doors and molding inside.

Yep, I trashed the cloth gray seat on my new Tacoma. Dawn liquid soap did the trick.

Please elaborate. How did you get the seats clean?
I used Dawn Platinum Powerwash. It comes in a spray bottle about the same size as Windex. I sprayed it on the black soot stains and let it soak in for 15 minutes. Then I sprayed more Dawn on the stains and started scrubbing it with a nylon brush. Rinsed it several times with a wet sponge, then soaked up the excess water with a bath towel. It completely cleared away the stains.

Another thing you can try is clothing stain removers. There is one brand in particular called ‘Grandma’s’ that works well. Just be careful using these products, they can lift some of the color out of your seat’s fabric. Might want to test a small spot first.

Good to know. Thanks.

I can see they are going to use this fire caused by two people so far to usher in their agenda to keep everyone out.

N.J.’s biggest fire in more than a decade started in area known for illegal bonfires

I wonder if they built the skid house?

Glad you posted that Guy. I was really puzzled how they investigated the fire. I went there today to see if some of the plant hotspots were burned over. Not many were, as it stayed south of Mountain Road, likely due to backfires.

This is ground zero, you can see the nails sticking up from the pallets.
