First snow

The NWS totally missed this one. I checked the forecast around 9:00 AM and it just said "cloudy, 40 degrees". Around 11:00, some light flurries started and it never got as warm as 40. Then it just kept snowing lightly until dark. About 2 inches on the ground now.

They all missed it. I was out showing my brother around, he just moved back to NJ. Started around 10:30 when we were coming out of Greenwood WMA and was coming down all day; still sputtering. Looks just like your picture. Some are calling for a 'significant ' winter storm the end of this coming week.

And the coast will be slammed yet again, 60mph gusts. Tax dollars for beach replenishment sand right back into the ocean; as the song goes; "...when will they ever learn". If it is the wet snow and winds they are saying, best get the gennies ready.
