The mapping that Boyd posted earlier has just been updated.
Looking pretty bad.

Their numbers are probably a bit light as they end on Saturday and do not include the full time for the storm, which continues into Sunday. The briefing should be complete, but its from the gubmint and might not be ;)

Snow totals will be updated twice tomorrow and once on Friday, then again once the storm arrives.

Ran stabilized fuel through my snow blower last year and ran it until empty before putting it away.
Topped it with fresh tonight and got a one pull start !
Bring it on !

...BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...
...WINTER STORM WATCH IS CANCELLED...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING. THE WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

* LOCATIONS...SOUTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY AND CENTRAL DELAWARE.

* HAZARD TYPES...POTENTIAL FOR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH HEAVY
SNOW...STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 14 INCHES POSSIBLE... WITH THE
HIGHER AMOUNTS MAINLY INLAND FROM THE ATLANTIC COAST. SOME
SLEET SHOULD MIX IN ALONG WITH SOME RAIN CLOSER TO THE COAST
SATURDAY... WHICH WOULD CUT DOWN THE SNOW ACCUMULATION.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM SOUTH TO
NORTH FRIDAY EVENING... PRIMARILY AFTER THE EVENING COMMUTE...
THEN CONTINUE TO BE HEAVY AT TIMES INTO SUNDAY MORNING. THE
STRONGEST WINDS AND GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS
WILL BE ON SATURDAY.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 25 TO 35 MPH. GUSTS UP TO 55 MPH...WITH THE
HIGHEST GUSTS CLOSER TO THE COAST.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE-QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS
COULD PRODUCE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS. SNOW MAY BE DRY AND FLUFFY AT THE START... BUT WILL
BECOME WETTER AND HEAVIER AS THE EVENT UNFOLDS. SHOVELING MAY BE
PROBLEMATIC FOR THOSE WITH PHYSICAL AILMENTS. SNOW MAY CLING TO
WIRES AND TREES WHICH COULD CAUSE NUMEROUS POWER OUTAGES. ROADS
WILL BECOME IMPASSABLE DUE TO INCREASING SNOW ACCUMULATION
DURING THE EVENT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BLIZZARD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FALLING AND/OR
BLOWING SNOW WITH STRONG WINDS AND EXTREMELY POOR VISIBILITIES.
THIS CAN LEAD TO WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AND MAKE TRAVEL VERY
DANGEROUS.

SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION FORECAST MAPS IN ADDITION TO EXPERIMENTAL
PROBABILISTIC SNOWFALL INFORMATION FOR THE LATEST EVENT ARE
AVAILABLE ONLINE AT WWW.WEATHER.GOV/PHI/WINTER

Just grabbed Terrapin Hopsecutioner, Evo 6 Double IPA, Lagunitas Brown Sugga for me and Abbey Dubbel for the wife.
Foregoing the bread, milk and eggs.
I am making a fresh batch of goose jerky though.

Interesting to see the changing colors on this map. The blizzard watch has been upgraded to a blizzard warning for most of the pines, but it's been downgraded to a winter storm warning down here.

I got a robo-call from Atlantic City Electric last night, saying that a storm was coming, my electricity might go off, and that I shouldn't play with downed powerlines. That was helpful.

The one good thing about this storm is that it will bury the politicians in DC, at least for a short time. Unfortunately some good folks will also suffer, but their sacrifice will be appreciated :)
