That is Utricularia juncea, a bladderwort.

Likely to be Polygonum pensylvanicum.

Though there are many in that genus. Was this along a road? If so, it is very likely.

I am yet to be very familiar with the low-to-the-ground clovers Tom, but I think that is some type of Lespedeza.

Tom, I believe that is Lespedeza cuneata, Chinese Bush Clover. It is an out of control invasive plant this has taken over many fields and waste places. I did not even notice this plant 10 years ago. Now it is everywhere.

Could this be Spotted knapweed, the scourge of our pinelands?

Centaurea biebersteinii. It is a hated and feared plant as it releases a toxin that destroys the competition and sucks all the water out of the soil.

Bob, As I drove down the paved road toward the General Store I passed the scruffy guy with the beard. It was the first time I have seen him.

If the leaves are stiff, that is Aster linarifolius Tom. If not, its Aster novi-belgii.

No Tom, please permit a correction. He is the older piney with the beard. I spoke to him at the Whitesbog festival. He seems to be around my age, perhaps a tad older.

That flower seems to be Bidens coronata.

I stand corrected. Did you get his name or where he lived? I have a suspicion that I may have picked blueberries with him in the mid 70's.
