Flower ID

Any help identifying these two? I'm clueless. The first is a tree. The second is a vine.

Next year, I'll have to check them out Pancoast! I am so behind and busy this year at work. I can't wait to retire.

1.) A monocot, mayhaps a lady slipper orchid.

2.) Hudsonia ericoides.

3.) Really cool. Like to see it some day. (Tom, see my PM).

4.) Looks like Carex folliculata.

Okay. I see now, its not what I thought it was, but it is interesting. Fly poison has those long grass-like leaves, so its not that.

Okay. I see now, its not what I thought it was, but it is interesting. Fly poison has those long grass-like leaves, so its not that.

Yes, I guess it was a false alarm. I've looked around in the woods in this area and located over a half dozen Flypoison plants growing. The Sassafras is down the road a little and I spotted it while searching for Listeria australis, but I might be too late.

Yes, you are correct. And yet, some spikes of some plants have both, being either gynaecandrous or androgynous.

can anyone help me with these two?

i was heading up 206 and spotted a field of blue along side the road. there was blue eyed grass and frost weed growing with these. does anyone know whatthey are. i couldn't find them in boyd's wildflower book. thanks lg
