Just throwing this out there : at the time Ocean County was actually part of Monmouth County ( Up till 1850 ) . All of the older homes in Ocean ( mostly Toms River / Tuckerton ) have the original records in Freehold ,up in Monmouth. My point is maybe there are archival docs in Freehold that could help ??

For Rutherford Stuyvesant's (b. 1842) involvement at the Lacey house, we don't have to go back before 1850. However, you are correct in searching Monmouth County records. The house could have been built before 1850. For the Aserdaten Tract, we'll have to seek answers in Freehold.

I was out in the FRM's last Friday. It's nice to be able to swing by after work. I took a few pictures:

I was at Black's Bridge today and noticed the water level was high on one side again. That can only mean one thing. So I did my civic duty to keep the road from flooding again and spent about 15 minutes removing the beavers work. I had that water gushing down the stream :)
