Wow Ben, you're up late !
It's 2:13 and I just got up. I am going duck hunting on the Delaware this morning as it is opening day of south zone for waterfowl.
Nighty night or good morning !

You remember Jim the bouncer?

Did Jim work the door? I remember a bouncer who had a key chain made of fake I.D.s he confiscated. It looked like a R0llodex.

The club was a eclectic mix of society. 90 cent Dance Night on Thursdays and concerts from any of the bands of the time that couldn't get any radio play, made an incredible formula for such a small place. The rules where simple - No Slam Dancing, No Stage Diving, and No spikes! Even the Beastie Boys talk about the venue in the liner of their greatest hits CD.

Chile did you ever make it to any of the other Trenton State bars just down the road? Do names such as Stevie Tees, Munday's, or the Merry Go Round bring back partial memories? Slocum's Bowl-O Rama was also a fun watering spot to go to because of its location near several sorority houses and student housing. All of these bars where off of Olden Avenue.

I still wear Dr Martens and infantry boots too. On occasion I can be seen sporting a pair of black and white Wingtip Docs.;)

I loved Headbangers Ball. Since your location says Trenton, have you ever been to City Gardens? I was a regular there on Thursdays. Loved that place. You been?

I went to a few alternative rock shows at City Gardens in the late 1980s: They Might Be Giants, Lemonheads, Camper Van Beethoven, Ween (as teenagers!), Dag Nasty, 7 Seconds, The Ramones and Soundgarden were just a few of the acts I recall.

Have you folks seen this upcoming film on City Gardens?

I didn't know about the film! I will have to watch that closely. Maybe my friends and I were caught on film.

There is a book and website about the club - check out the title of the book! It is the same as the club rules.
