Yes I remember him, and he even was there into the mid 70's. But you may have thought of him as great, but others did not think as much, and he was dismissed from the position for clearing a small strip of land next to a house there in Atsion that left a window exposed to passersby. The homeowner was not happy about that and.......well read about it and see him below.

Small strip of land is the key point. What I read into the story is you have an old-timer who thought we was doing the right thing and they had an excuse to go after him. They should have just reprimanded him.

Fired for clearing a two by three foot piece of land. There has got to be more to the story than that. Perhaps a little politics. I mean, seems a little harsh. I remember Guy, you were telling me about him. He was a pretty fair ranger as I recall you saying.

Glad you all had a good time at allaire. I've been there before on several occasions in the past. It is a nice park from a historical perspective. I understand from a friend there are some good mountain biking trails there also. A little too developed for my tastes, and I've been there before which is why I passed on the tour but I'm glad you all had a good time.

At that time there were changes going on at Atsion, they were building the swimming area, or had just finished it, and I am certain they wanted a change in the guard. The old school "real" ranger was no longer what they wanted, and any excuse to eliminate him was a good one for them. That is how I remember it.

Now Atsion is a joke when it comes to improvements. The money is spent elsewhere or they say they don't have any. Then again it is better that way.
