Have a fun weekend....

Ben,

I really feel sorry for you. While we all enjoy the comfort of the Pines, you will have to rough it at that resort. Try not to let it get you down.

I kind of know how you feel. We have soccer games every Saturday from now until the middle of June. I rather go exploring now while the weather has been perfect.

I think I'm going to skip out at least one Saturday if not two. I don't think that would make me a bad dad, would it? My wife could take them to the games for those two occasions.

You must be a good father to feel guilty about missing one or two games. Hey, at least you go to the majority, that is better then alot of "dads" I know. No matter how much we love something, we must remember that resposibility comes first. We need to take care of our familys and homes. Without them we have nothing. And hopefully we have partners to help us out. With two people working together, you can get out in the pines faster.......and that is a good thing. :D

They say Ain't momma happy ain't no one happy.
Same goes for dad. Need some time to recharge!!!

I love nothing more than to spend time with my sons. I can't believe how fast they grow and don't want to miss a moment so I try to include them in my hobbies.

They just love exploring the Pine Barrens but I believe a big part of it had to do with meeting Renee's children. Now, exploring is fun for them again.

It's amazing how much more fun it is for the kids when there are other kids around!
I find that they enjoy it so much more and complain so much less when they are with other kids instead of us stuffy ole folk!.

Well, it turned out to be a great weekend. Who would have thought that the resort would have been built on land that was once owned by a mining company, and that there would be ruins ALL OVER. More interestingly, the place is dotted with old mines as well. So I got to do some caving with Laura's cousins.

Now I wish there were some caves in my neck of the woods. It was so cool to see bats up close and personal.

I love spelunking...spent many weekends in Arkansas during college years exploring young caves, slithering, coming out soaked and filthy, torn to shreds, scratched up but happy--hey, it sounds like me still but in the swamps! But seriously, I loved it.

Did you just find these, or did someone tell you where to look?
