I'm in Missoula.
First the good:
Terrain - Mountains and rivers galore.
Culture - People are generally friendlier and the mode of living is generally more laid back.
Economic - No sales-tax and cheap rent.
Now the ugly:
Environment - A grossly polluted river runs through town and pollutants tend to be trapped in the valley air.
Economic - The job market flat out sucks.
All in all, I'm glad to have come here, as it has been the experience I have long sought to enjoy. Canoeing down a Montana river with white cliffs and badland formations straddling the water and mountains in the horizon has been a matchless experience. Yet, all the while I've been longing for those mystical little streams in the Pines.
