Kind of surprising…

There are no changes that have been announced for how Weather Underground will operate, and Bob Henson and I plan to ride the rapids to see where they lead.

I started using them in the late 1990's when you could access text-based forecasts using the telnet protocol in a terminal program. Rarely use them today, I prefer the RadarScope app and the NWS website now.

That is a surprise; WU is somehow connected with the Weather Channel as well, they run a segment on their cable channel. I like WU for the private weather stations/webcams one has access to; gives a more real-time look at where I might be going.

Not sure what to say, it seems very simple and straightforward to me. It just shows the raw radar data without any smoothing or processing. Unlike most websites, you must select a specific radar site and it only displays the data from that site. If you tap the compass button, it will select the site that it thinks is closest to you. Or tap the radar button and you can choose a specific site manually.
