At High Crossing this morning. There were bare foot prints leading away.

Say, does anyone know why it's called High Crossing? I know there was a railroad crossing there, but was wondering about the "high" part.

It was a very steep grade crossing for a car. The tracks were torn out and the crossing leveled by the NJFFS while fighting a fire at Quarter Mile in 1999.

I walked into the Quartermile area on Monday and my friends noticed footprints and very large dogprints. I said that I had a good idea who may have made them!

For all the rain that came down in that area, it doesn't look too bad at High Crossing.

Even if he/she took the go-round, the next one might have got them. Puddles around High Crossing are no joke! There's water holes around there that never dry up.

The worse part about this is the stupidity of the driver. You can tell by how the vehicle entered and is left resting that the hole was a gradual slant downwards, not a sudden drop-off. Unless he/she was going balls-to-the-wall, there was plenty of time to react, stop, backup and try it from the far left instead.

Here's anotherone I came across at High Crossing this morning. My back is to the tracks and I am looking north up Tuckerton Road.
