Any Jeeper out there?

It seems like you guys don't like us.

Not true at all. The owner of this site has a Jeep. What we don't like is anyone driving any vehicle that do not stay to the roads or willingly tear up the roads (at puddles and such) to make them unpassable by others. We like everyone that respects the Pines and dis-like anyone who does not.

I owned two Land Cruisers when younger and never did damage that some 4x4 owners do. If the road ahead of me was blocked by water or some other obstacle and I wanted to go down the road, I went down it, but to purposely try to get stuck or damage the surrounding woods for no reason than to do just that, is irresponsible and illegal. While those who do this think they are not doing any harm, they do not have the knowledge of the possible rare plants and possibly rare creatures that they are interfering with or destroying.

In recent years I have become much more aware of what this irresponsible activity is doing to some area's due to the varied knowledge of many of the members of this site. Once one sees the full picture it is clear that it is a problem.

I used to have a jeep but now have a Bronco. I have always enjoyed the accessability to the woods that 4x4's provide. I also am into motorcyles as another means of travel in the pines. Steve stated it perfect. It is a question of useing this vehicles with respect for the woods, nothing wrong with the vehicles themselves.

We have it out in the Pines most weekends (ONLY on the roads). Yesterday, I put my foot against the windshield while we were going over a particularly bumpy road, and I cracked the windshield. I hurt the Jeep. :(

If you have not already done so check out the wharton cleanup in October (I think). It's a freakin' Jeep Nation although any vehicle willing to help is certainly welcome. Every type of Jeep imaginable attends that event. Old and new, stock and custom jobs. People in South Jersey love their Jeeps.
